A dramatic rescue at Lake on the Mountain. On Saturday, July 15, just after 9:00 a.m., the Prince Edward County OPP sprang into action. Reports came in of an incident where a single vehicle had driven over the cliff at Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park.
Thankfully, the situation didn’t escalate into a tragedy, all thanks to the quick-witted response from Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service, who joined forces with the OPP. Their timely efforts allowed them to secure the vehicle and, with great care, assist the driver out of the precarious situation.
The driver, identified as an 88-year-old individual, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
