It’s getting really warm outside, and many locals and tourists will be heading to the beach this summer.
KFL&A Public Health will be doing their job to help keep our local beaches safe with their public beach monitoring.
Public health will test 29 municipally owned or operated public bathing beaches within our area.
Signs warning against swimming are posted when beach conditions pose a potential health risk to bathers.
Before you head out the door, you can also check Public Health’s website as to if conditions are safe for swimming.
Currently in Loyalist Township, swimming is not recommended at Bath Filtration and Centennial Beach.
