The CAA’s highly anticipated worst road’s list for 2023 was released last week, and you’ll notice, there are no roads from Lennox and Addington County on that list.
Clearly our crews are doing a great job!
myFM spoke with Chris Wagar, L&A County’s Director of Infrastructure Services, who told us how they keep our roads in such good shape.
He say’s every two year’s they assess the roads and check on their condition. They rate the condition of the asphalt, the percentage of cracks, potholes, and other deficiencies, as well as the shoulder of the road and the ditches.
Wagar says their 5-year average of capital budget is just over $17 Million.
Though the roads are in pretty good condition, Wagar says they have come close to possibly making the list.
Wagar says it feel’s great to not be included on this list, and that it show’s them they’re doing their jobs properly.
