The person killed in a head-on crash in Central Hastings Monday afternoon has been identified by OPP as a 47-year-old man.
The crash occurred on Highway 7 in Tweed. Police say it appears the SUV stopped to turn left on to Varty Road and was struck from behind by another vehicle forcing the SUV into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with a pick-up truck.
The drivers of the two other vehicles were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators are reconstructing the events leading up to the crash.
