The province is expanding the Investing in Women’s Futures program to ten new locations, including one that’s not too far from us.
In making the announcement Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, and MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex says it is a move it says will connect more women to training opportunities, help them get jobs and, achieve financial independence.
Resolve Counselling Services Canada in Kingston is among the new locations named yesterday.
Resolve will receive $150,000 annually that will be distributed across their Women’s and Financial Wellness programs.
The program provides a range of services and employment readiness supports for women facing social and economic barriers, including those experiencing gender-based violence and social isolation.
