Lennox and Addington OPP have charged two drivers with impaired driving charges.
Early evening January 14th, OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Ham Road in Loyalist Township. After speaking with the driver an approved screening device was used, leading to the driver’s arrest. the 45-year-old driver from Sydenham faces multiple charges including:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Breach of Probation order (P.O.A.)
- G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver
- Driving while under suspension – Three Counts
Later that evening, officers received a call from a Napanee business who advised police that they believed someone had driven to the location impaired. the 26-year-old from Stone Mills was arrested and faces multiple charges including:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Resist peace officer
- Failure to comply with undertaking
- Driving while under suspension
Both accused were released from custody with a future court date.
