It was a sobering end to the year and start of a new one OPP say for driver charged during their annual Festive RIDE campaign.
Close to 10,000 RIDE stops took place throughout the province, with approximately 240,000 drivers checked.
Between November 17 to January 2, OPP charged 812 drivers with a total of 1,258 impaired driving offences.
There were also 208 Warn Range Suspensions and 21 Zero Tolerance Suspensions issued during the campaign.
The OPP thanks all road users and citizens who reported suspected impaired drivers and did their part to keep roads safe over the holidays.
