An inmate has passed away while in custody at Joyceville Institution. Lorne LaFrance had been serving an indeterminant sentence for non-capital murder which began on November 4th of 1971. Correctional Services Canada is reviewing the circumstances on LaFrance’s death. The Police, Coroner and the inmate’s next of kin have been notified.
