A rainfall warning has been issues for Greater Napanee and the surrounding community.
Environment Canada is predicting the possibility of 35 to 50 mm of rain today with local rainfall amounts of 60 mm possible.
Motorists are asked to be careful as heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Officials say locals should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.
Rain is to taper off late this afternoon or early this evening.
