Hastings County donates half a million towards advanced diagnostics at Belleville General
The donation is a major boost for the hospital, a level three cancer centre, which supports residents from Bancroft to Picton, and Brighton to Napanee.
BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook said, ‘with one in three Canadians now diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, this leadership level gift ensures we can continue to move in line with advancing equipment technology and provide the best care for patients.’
The funds will play an important role in updating equipment that supports oncology services.
Incoming Chair Dr. Tracey Bray expressed thanks to Hastings County and acknowledged the hard work of the foundation to address the growing equipment replacement needs at the BGH.
