Residents of Greater Napanee had a chance to share their ideas on the future direction of the Town during a Community Public Meeting for Strategic Plan Development. Following a presentation by Toronto consulting firm, “Optimus”, residents participated in group discussions and shared ideas that will be used as input for the development of the Strategic Plan.
myFM spoke with Optimus Senior Manager Jesse Burns, who us about what stood out to him during the event. He noted one point being a buy in to the idea of a plan for the future, something the community can get behind and develop building blocks for.
Town’s Chief Administrative Officer John Pinsent told us about the next steps, which include formulating some of the data with the help of their consulting firm.

Town staff and councilors were in the room as observers. Napanee mayor Marg Isbester told myFM that the turnout for the meeting was great. Lot’s of different demographics were in attendance to voice their different opinions.
The Strategic Plan will outline a long-term vision for the Town. Residents can stay informed as the Plan is developed by visiting letstalkgreaternapanee.ca.
