A new name has been added to the Ballot in the upcoming provincial election in Hastings-Lennox and Addington.
myFM spoke with Joyce Reid, who is running with the New Blue Party of Ontario. Reid is a registered nurse, a mother, grandmother, and lives on a farm in H-L&A.
Reid decided to run after she decided enough was enough in the way our province and country was heading.
After she first applied to run for the New Blue Party of Ontario, they had asked her to run in another riding.
When asked of some topics she feels is important locally and provincially, Reid started in saying we need to get our economy back on track, and that people should not have to ask their mortgage if they can put gas in their car to get to work.
Reid’s passion lies with healthcare. she says we need to have dignity and transparency there and that we need to get rid of backlogs as people need to be able to get to their appointments without being put on hold.
Reid joins the ballot with Liberal Ted Darby, Conservative Ric Bresee, NDP Eric DePoe and Ontario Party Derek Sloan.
