Greater Napanee town council have received the report from Legislative Services about the Community Flag, Art Installation and Proclamations Policy.
During the meeting Councillor Dave Pinnell asked about a timeline for declarations.
Town clerk Jessica Walters provided this answer.
Aa part of this policy, when it comes to art installations such as a painted sidewalk, the applicant will be required to cover costs on instillation and removal.
Following town input, it was suggested the instillation of a flag pole in Markey Square. That would cost approximately $2,000.
Napanee mayor Marg Isbester had this to say of her vision of the flag pole.
Council voted to note and receive the report, and look into addition flag poles.
