KFL&A Public Health are reporting 85 new cases of COVID-19 today, January 6. The active case count has dropped from 2316 to 1586 in the region. Public health report a data clean up moved a significant number of cases to resolved.
Of these cases, 59 were reported in Kingston, eight in Greater Napanee, six in South Frontenac, four cases in Loyalist, three in Stone Mills and one in Central Frontenac.
There are now 19 local cases of COVID-19 are in hospital, eight of which are in the ICU with six on ventilators.
There are now 18 active outbreaks in the region, with 86 active cases associated with them.
As of this afternoon, 91% of individuals 5 and over in KFL&A have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. 83.8% have received their second.
