The investigation into a domestic incident remains ongoing by Lennox and Addington OPP.
Early morning January 1st, a 52 year old male suspect attended a residence in Greater Napanee and uttered death threats and damaged a vehicle.
The suspect then departed and returned to the residence at approximately 10:00 a.m where he then assaulted a 56-year old male with an edged weapon before leaving the scene.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have arrested and charged a 52 year old male of Greater Napanee, contrary to the Criminal Code with:
- Attempt to Commit Murder;
- Aggravated Assault;
- Two counts of Mischief ;
- Two counts of Utter threats;
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose; and
- Fail to comply with Undertaking.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on January 4.
