A report from an off duty OPP officer ended in impairment charges for a London Driver. Lennox and Addington OPP responded to the report of a possible impaired driver on highway 401 in Greater Napanee.
Officers initiated a traffic stop at the Center Street off ramp and determined that the driver was showing signs of impairment. An Approved Screening Device was administered and the driver was arrested.
The 41-year-old has been charged with operation while impaired and Failure to comply with demand.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on September 28. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
