Three belleville police officers have been charged following an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit.
The SIU was investigating into an arrest the fall of 2019 in Belleville. Following the arrest, the man was transported to hospital where he was diagnosed with serious injuries.
As a result of the SIU investigation, Constables Kyle Dodds, Paul Fyke and Jeffrey Smith have each been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.
The officers are required to appear in Court in Belleville on June 21, 2021.
