A proclamation was made at last night’s Town of Greater Napanee council meeting to make March 26th “National Epilepsy Awareness Day”
The motion was brought to council by Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario, which is a charity that provides support services to those who suffer from the disorder and their families, and community education services to reduce the stigma.
Council is encouraging our citizens to make an effort in the month of March to learn more about epilepsy, fight the stigma and wear a lavender ribbon to show support.
