The Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board is looking for a community member to help shape local policing priorities.
The position will be jointly appointed by the Town of Deseronto, Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and Tyendinaga Township.
Applications are open until Nov. 27, 2026, at 4 p.m.
The board helps guide policing priorities, advises the detachment commander and reviews reports on police services. It also monitors the commander’s performance and provides annual reports to member municipalities.
The board serves as a link between police and the community, while helping local municipalities work together on shared public safety concerns.
The board was established under the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019, which came into effect April 1, 2024.
