A 52-year-old woman from Prince Edward County has been charged with careless driving following a collision involving two vehicles and a farm tractor.
The Ontario Provincial Police says the collision happened around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, on County Road 4. The vehicles were attempting to pass the slow-moving tractor when the collision occurred.
No injuries were reported.
Police are reminding motorists to use extra caution around farm equipment as seasonal agricultural activity continues across the county.
Tractors may travel well below posted speed limits, make wide turns and require additional space on rural roads.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, maintain a safe following distance and remain patient when travelling behind agricultural equipment.
Police say motorists should only pass when it is legal, they have a clear view of the road ahead and enough space to complete the manoeuvre safely.
