The Town of Greater Napanee is accepting applications for the fall intake of its Community Initiatives Fund, with a deadline of Oct. 31.
The municipal grant program offers up to $15,000 per intake to support local projects and events that benefit the community.
Eligible applicants include community groups, charities, non-profit organizations and event organizers based in or serving Greater Napanee. Individual applicants may also be considered if their proposals meet the funding criteria.
Projects must support areas such as health and wellness, arts and culture, youth programs, recreation, public safety, economic growth or community development.
The fund is supported by community benefit contributions from Atura Power, which owns and operates the Napanee Generating Station.
The Community Initiatives Fund offers two funding intakes each year, with a total of $30,000 available annually. Applications are reviewed by an advisory committee, which makes funding recommendations to Town Council.
