The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s Fall Draws for Paws 50/50 Lottery has a jackpot exceeding $60,000, with proceeds supporting animal welfare programs across Ontario.
Sara Vanderveer says tickets start at $10 and are available online at ontariospcalottery.ca. Early bird prizes of $2,000 are also available.
Funds support programs that provide veterinary care, reduce pet overpopulation and improve shelter conditions. Vanderveer says the funding is especially important as animal centres face high demand.
Local shelters continue to welcome animals while helping others find homes. Vanderveer says foster families are also helping care for kittens until they are ready for adoption.
