The Quinte Local Immigration Partnership is bringing community leaders together in Belleville for a workshop focused on allyship and addressing racism.
Brave Conversations: Allyship in Action takes place Thursday, Nov. 5, marking the fourth event in the organization’s Braver Conversations series since 2024.
The full-day workshop will explore systemic barriers, privilege, power structures and practical ways to address racism in workplaces and communities.
The event builds on previous discussions about belonging, identity, unconscious bias and inclusion, with a focus on turning awareness into action.
Local equity and anti-racism consultants Carrie Oswald of Belonging Redefined and Gabrielle Wint-Rose of EAW Publications will facilitate the workshop.
Following the event, QLIP’s Anti-Racism Committee plans to launch a month-long social media campaign to encourage continued learning and practical allyship.
The workshop is free for community agency and organization leaders across the Quinte region, with lunch provided. Registration is closed for this event. Contact QLIP at lip@quinteimmigration.ca for further details.
