The Ontario SPCA’s Draws for Paws 50/50 Lottery jackpot has topped $100,000, with tickets on sale until Nov. 11.
The lottery’s grand prize draw is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12. Tickets start at $10 and are available online at ontariospcalottery.ca. The organization says a previous winner took home more than $130,000.
Proceeds from the lottery support the Ontario SPCA’s Community Access to Resources, Education and Support (CARES) Fund. The fund provides grants to Ontario SPCAs and humane societies to help support animal welfare programs across the province. Funding can be used for initiatives such as spay and neuter programs, veterinary care and shelter improvements.
The Ontario SPCA says the lottery helps provide resources to support animals in need and the organizations that care for them.
People interested in participating can purchase tickets before the Nov. 11 deadline, with the final sales closing at 11:59 p.m. The grand prize winner will be selected the following day.
