Durham Street in Odessa will become a one-way street as part of the ongoing Main Street reconstruction project.
The changes are intended to improve pedestrian safety and traffic flow near Odessa Public School.
Under the new traffic plan, vehicles will travel on Durham Street from Main Street toward North Street. Drivers entering from Main Street will only be allowed to turn right, while those exiting onto North Street must also turn right. (See map below)
Left turns will be prohibited at both intersections.
The updated street layout will also include seven parallel parking spaces along the west side of Durham Street.
The street is expected to reopen by the end of November 2026, although the timeline remains subject to weather and site conditions.
