The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board has received three nominations for the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario’s Awards of Excellence. The nominations recognize tourism marketing, travel media and workforce development.
The board’s Get Free Gas and Spending Spree campaigns are nominated for Marketing Campaign Under $50,000. The promotions ran during winter 2025-26 to attract day-trip and overnight visitors to the region.
The board is also nominated for a travel media story featuring Rooted Along the Bay by Izabela Jaroszynski, published by Northern Soul by Landsby.
Its Work in Quinte initiative, developed with the cities of Belleville and Quinte West, is nominated for Workforce Innovation and Collaboration. The project combines an online job-matching platform with regional career fairs.
Board executive director Dug Stevenson says the nominations recognize the team’s work supporting tourism and employment across the region.
Napanee is also represented among this year’s provincial tourism award nominees. The Waterfront River Pub & Terrace’s Napanee River Tours has been nominated for Attraction of the Year at the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario’s Awards of Excellence.
The award recognizes attractions that draw visitors, support the local visitor economy and provide memorable experiences.
The winners will be announced later this week in Ottawa.
