Community Living Lennox & Addington is celebrating Executive Director Barb Fabius’s 25 years of leadership with the organization.
Fabius joined the agency on Sept. 24, 2001, becoming its first full-time executive director. Over the past 25 years, she has helped guide the organization through major changes while expanding support for individuals, families and caregivers.
Her milestone was recognized at the agency’s annual general meeting on Sept. 29, 2026, with colleagues, community partners and loved ones attending.
Staff coordinators praised Fabius for her open-door leadership style, commitment to teamwork and ongoing support for employees. Her daughter, Sarah DeWitt, also highlighted her continued enthusiasm for new community projects.
On Oct. 1, people supported by the agency gathered to thank Fabius for her kindness and support.
Fabius thanked staff, the board, funders, donors, families, caregivers and community members for helping the organization succeed. The agency says it looks forward to working with her in the years ahead.
