Motorists in Lennox and Addington County are being reminded to use caution as harvest season brings more farm equipment onto local roads.
Tractors, combines, forage harvesters, wagons and other large machinery will be travelling between farms and fields as farmers harvest summer crops, work their land and plant fall cover crops.
Drivers are being asked to be patient and considerate when sharing the road with large, slow-moving equipment.
Educational signage has been installed on County Road 41 near D&M Garrett Farms, a fourth-generation family farm that has operated in the local agricultural community since the late 1920s.
The Garrett family farms about 680 acres, with a focus on beef farming. Farm equipment can often be seen on County Road 41 and other local roads from April through November as seasonal work continues.
