A 14-year-old theatre director is taking the stage in a new role as she leads a cast of 25 young performers in Doctor Experimenter and the League of Evil.
Lindsay Jeffs is directing the all-ages comedy at the Lennox Community Theatre, which features plenty of humour, chaos and plot twists, along with some more serious and emotional moments.
The play follows Doctor Experimenter as she tries to prove herself worthy of joining the League of Evil. When the group begins turning against her, she must decide how far she is willing to go.
Jeffs has been involved with the theatre since moving to the area in 2024. She previously acted and worked as an assistant stage manager before being encouraged to try directing.
She said she is believed to be the youngest director in the theatre’s history.
Jeffs said the experience has gone well, thanks in part to the support of the theatre’s board and cast.
For anyone considering trying out for a play and joining the theatre, she says to go for it!
She hopes to direct another production in the future and encourages other young people to try theatre.
