UPDATE 11am: The Ontario Provincial Police says Ontario’s 9-1-1 system has largely stabilized after intermittent outages were reported Thursday morning. All OPP communications centres are again receiving and processing emergency calls.
The OPP says disruptions may still occur. Anyone unable to reach police through 9-1-1 should call the non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122. The line remains operational.

Several police services say their 9-1-1 systems are working again following intermittent outages across Ontario Thursday morning.
However, the Ontario Provincial Police and many local police services have not yet issued an all-clear.
The OPP says it received outage reports from communities across the province. Officers continue to respond to calls while police work with telecommunications providers to fully restore the service.
Several municipal police services reported early Thursday that their emergency lines had returned to normal. Other services have not confirmed whether their systems are fully operational.
The cause of the widespread disruption has not been announced.
People should continue calling 9-1-1 during an emergency. If the call does not connect, those seeking emergency police assistance in an OPP-served community can call 1-888-310-1122. Residents elsewhere should use the non-emergency number for their local police service.
Police are asking people not to call 9-1-1 for information or to test whether the service is working.
