A 23-year-old Napanee driver is facing impaired driving charges after multiple people reported a possible impaired driver on Highway 401.
Lennox and Addington County OPP received the complaints shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2. The vehicle was reported travelling westbound near County Road 4.
Police located the vehicle on the highway and arrested the driver following an investigation.
Alexander Tooke, 23, of Napanee, is charged with operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol and breach of recognizance.
Tooke was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on Oct. 13. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded.
