Several seasonal services and facilities in Greater Napanee will soon be changing as the summer season winds down.
The Town of Greater Napanee says residents can expect changes to recreation, environmental services and public works in the coming weeks.
The Home Hardware rink has been operating since Aug. 3, while the Goodyear rink will be available for rentals starting Sept. 7. Public skating programs will resume during the first week of September, and crossing guards will return on the first day of school.
Ball diamonds and soccer fields will remain open for rentals throughout September.
The Rotary Park Splash Pad will close for the season Oct. 1.
Downtown hanging flower baskets and planters will remain in place until the end of September. Docks at municipal boat launches will be removed by the end of November.
The South Fredericksburgh Waste Disposal Site will to winter hours as of September. The Town is also preparing for Household Hazardous Waste Day and Giveaway Day on Sept. 12.
The Town has begun offering e-billing for water and sewer utility bills.
Public Works staff are wrapping up road construction for the season. Once that work is complete, crews will begin work on the in-town portion of a new trail.
