Roof repairs have been completed at Napanee Town Hall as part of the ongoing restoration of the historic building.
The work focused on improving the roof’s waterproofing and protecting the building from long-term weather damage. Repairs included replacing sealant around vent stack flashings, skylight seams, roof hatch flashings, parapets and other roof details.
Crews also reinforced roof membrane patches, applied a protective coating to pitch pockets and replaced loose or missing roof fasteners. A new protective coating was applied in two coats, with areas of corrosion and roof details spot-primed for added durability.
Planning is now continuing for the next stages of the Town Hall rehabilitation. Staff are developing a revised interior floor plan for the building’s main level.
Once the floor plan is approved, engineering and architectural work will begin on construction drawings and required permits.
Preliminary design work is also planned for the Rotary Market Structure, with concepts expected to be presented to council in the coming months.
