Marlbank Recreation is getting ready to host its third annual pig roast at the Marlbank Ball Park.
The event will begin August 29th at 3 p.m. with live music from an R&B band playing songs from the 60’s and some newer stuff.
Marie Meeks said the pig roast has been popular in previous years.
Organizers are also encouraging the community to bring their empties for the bottle drive. As well, bring your own lawn chair!
Meeks said proceeds will support local youth programs and recreation improvements.
A new Paint the Bus activity will also be offered for children this year.
The roast pork dinner is expected to be served around 4:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children ages six to 12 and free for children under five.
