A Stirling resident has been charged with obstructing a peace officer following two separate impaired driving investigations in Prince Edward County.
The Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says officers encountered the same passenger during two investigations in June and July.
The first incident happened on June 14, when officers stopped a suspected impaired driver. Police say the passenger was warned multiple times about behaviour that was affecting the investigation.
A second incident occurred on July 19 during another impaired driving investigation, when police say the passenger again interacted with officers while they were performing their duties.
Ammar Hussein, 50, of Stirling, faces two counts of obstructing a peace officer. They were released and are scheduled to appear in Picton court on October 14.
