The Napanee Fair is returning with new attractions, expanded activities and a new home for its fair office.
Jodi Ferguson with the Lennox Agricultural Society said this year’s fair will take place July 31 to August 3rd at the fairgrounds with a new address at 180 York Street, following the opening of the society’s new building.
The fair office will be located inside the new building and will provide information for visitors throughout the event.
The fair will feature returning favourites, including the World’s Finest Shows midway, truck and tractor pulls, livestock shows and the Napanee Fair Ambassador competition.
New events this year include magic shows, a sheep shearing demonstration and expanded petting zoo hours. Ferguson said visitors should take time to explore more than just the midway.
The fair will also feature a farm equipment display, horse shows, western games, home craft exhibits and other community activities.
Ferguson said volunteers have spent months preparing for the event and are excited to welcome visitors back.
The Napanee Fair runs this year with admission set at $10 per day, while weekend passes are available for $25. Children 10 and under are admitted free.
New this year, ride bracelets are available in advance online on the World’s Finest Shows website. They’re $44 in advance before July 30th, then $50 in person at the fair.
Keep an eye on their Facebook page for the latest updates! You can also find this years fair book on their website.
