The Napanee Raiders have added another local player to their roster, signing 19-year-old forward Brody Nielissen for the 2026-27 PJHL season.
The Loyalist Township native joins the Raiders after helping the Smiths Falls Junior Bears reach the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League final last season. Nielissen recorded 14 goals and 11 assists for 25 points in 41 regular season games before adding five goals and three assists during the playoffs.
He has also suited up for the Amherstview Jets and Kingston Wranglers and is familiar with several Raiders players from their minor hockey days.
Raiders head coach Ben Hagerman said Nielissen brings speed, grit and offensive production to the lineup and will be an important part of the club this season.
Nielissen said his goal is to help Napanee compete for a Provincial Junior Hockey League championship. He describes himself as a dependable two-way player who can contribute in all three zones and in any game situation.
