Southeast Public Health says its Food for You, Food for Two prenatal program in Napanee is on a temporary break.
The program closed on July 1 and will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Lennox and Addington Resources for Children on Advance Avenue.
Food for You, Food for Two is open to people who are pregnant or have a baby younger than six months. The weekly program helps participants learn about pregnancy, birth, healthy eating, nutrition and caring for a new baby.
Participants also prepare and share meals together, meet other parents and parents-to-be, and take home healthy food. Friends or support people are welcome to attend, and transportation and child-minding may be available.
When the program resumes, sessions will continue every Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Napanee location. Sessions also run twice monthly in Kingston.
