Two paddleboarders were rescued by the OPP SAVE unit last week after being pushed far from shore during severe storms.
Police say the rescue placed both responders and the individuals at high risk.
Neither paddleboarder had safety equipment or knowledge of the area.
Both were brought safely to shore and fined for not wearing lifejackets or personal flotation devices.
