The Napanee Lioness Club is giving back to the community with two new donations to support local services.
The club presented $1,000 to the Salvation Army of Napanee and $2,500 to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation.
Club president Marilyn Herntier said the money was raised through the Lioness Club’s annual yard sale, pie sales and Spin to Win fundraiser.
She said the donations would not be possible without the continued support of the community.
At the Salvation Army, Abby Mills said the donation will help the organization continue meeting the growing needs of local families despite rising food costs.

She explained staff carefully stretch every dollar and sometimes choose less expensive food items to maximize the number of people they can help.
Amanda Chalk of the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation thanked the Lioness and the community for supporting the foundation.
The Lioness Club directed its hospital donation toward the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
