A Napanee author is inviting readers back into familiar local settings with the release of her second self-published novel.
Robyn Mae, a creative entrepreneur and owner of Bloom & Capture Co., recently introduced Almost Unwritten, a friends-to-lovers romance set in Kingston and other small-town Ontario communities.
She said storytelling has been a lifelong passion.
The new novel follows Charlie and Ethan, two best friends who have spent years insisting they are only friends despite what everyone around them believes.
The book features several recognizable eastern Ontario locations, including Kingston landmarks and references to local businesses, giving area readers a chance to spot familiar places throughout the story.
Robyn previously published Never Quite Mine, a novel inspired in part by her own experiences growing up. She said writing helped her work through feelings of belonging and self-discovery while creating stories that others could relate to.
For years, she kept her writing private, sharing it with few people before deciding to publish.
Both books are available through Amazon and directly from the author.
