The Township of Stone Mills is warning residents about a printing error on its 2026 final property tax bills.
Officials say all tax bills mailed on Monday, June 22, incorrectly state that the account is enrolled in preauthorized payments. The township stresses that only property owners already registered in the preauthorized payment program will have automatic withdrawals.
Residents who are not enrolled must continue to pay their property taxes using the township’s regular payment methods by the due dates listed on their bills.
The township apologized for any confusion caused by the error and reminded residents that information about Due Date and Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Plans is available on its website.
Anyone unsure about the status of their tax account or preauthorized payment enrolment is encouraged to contact the Township of Stone Mills for assistance.
