More than 65 artists and artisans from across Canada will gather in Newburgh later this month as Stoney Steps ArtFest returns for its fourth year.
The one-day outdoor event will take place June 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 476 County Road 11 along the Napanee River. Organizers say the festival continues to grow, attracting visitors from across the region while showcasing a wide range of artistic talent.
“I was in awe of the local talent that was showcased along with how greatly attended the event was,” organizer Martha Embury said. “Stoney Steps ArtFest has become a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity that exists throughout our region.”
Visitors can browse and purchase original works directly from artists working in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, photography, fibre art, glass art and metal work. Handmade products such as soaps and candles will also be available.
Participating artist Lisa Ray Koenig said the event stands out because of both its setting and the quality of artists involved.
The festival is held in a scenic location beside the Napanee River and offers attendees the opportunity to meet artists and learn about their creative processes.
Live entertainment will be offered throughout the day, while The Pie Shack will return to serve its popular homemade pies and treats. A rain date is scheduled for June 21.
