Families across Lennox and Addington County will have plenty of free activities to enjoy this summer as L&A Libraries launch a full schedule of programs, events and reading challenges for children and youth.
The library’s Kate Wilson said the annual TD Summer Reading Club will return, with registration opening this Saturday, June 13.
The library has also released its July and August programming calendar, featuring a mix of large events and hands-on activities at branches across the county.
Tuesday programming will include reptile visits, bubble-themed events, Toybox Tinkering, Shark Week activities and performances by Junkyard Symphony.
The library’s popular STEAM Quest series will continue through the summer with projects such as crash tests, ocean dioramas, deep-sea discoveries and engineering skate parks.
The season will wrap up with several foam parties to celebrate the end of summer before students return to school.
L&A Libraries operates five locations, including branches in Napanee, Amherstview, Bath, Tamworth and Yarker.
