The Napanee Valley Cruisers are celebrating 30 years of bringing car enthusiasts together while supporting local charities and community groups.
The club, founded in 1996, has become a fixture in the Napanee area through weekly cruise nights, car shows and fundraising efforts.
President Steve Lowry said the organization has grown far beyond its original purpose of showcasing classic vehicles.
Since Lowry became president in 2006, the club has donated approximately $83,000 to local organizations. Recipients have included seniors outreach services, skating clubs and local animal rescue groups.
The club’s signature events continue to draw large crowds. Last year’s Good Guitars for Good Hearts and Cars event attracted more than 400 vehicles and an estimated 5,000 visitors to downtown Napanee.
Weekly cruise nights remain open to all makes and models, from vintage classics to modern vehicles and motorcycles.
The club’s Monday night cruise-ins at No Frills are free for spectators and continue throughout the summer season.
