Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Prince Edward County.
Police say officers were called to the intersection of County Road 17 and Miller Road shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30.
A 77-year-old Prince Edward County man was taken to hospital following the collision. He later died from his injuries.
The motorcycle operator suffered minor injuries and did not require extensive medical treatment.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team assisted local officers with the investigation. County Road 17 was closed for several hours between Lucks Crossroad and McKinley/Mitchells Crossroads while investigators examined the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing. OPP are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
