A community garden at Rotary Park is continuing to grow thanks to support from local businesses, schools and volunteers.
To learn more, myFM spoke with Rotarian and lead gardener, Kathy McCaffrey.
McCaffrey says the project has expanded a little bit more since then.
Those five beds include a butterfly garden, berries and vegetables for the public to enjoy.
This year, the project also received support from a local high school greenhouse program and Sheila’s Greenhouse, which donated plants and produce.
McCaffrey said the garden has become a true community effort. She also shared a story about anonymous volunteers who cleaned up the garden two years ago when it had started looking neglected.
The Rotary Club is encouraging residents to visit the garden, volunteer, or consider joining the organization.
