The County of Lennox and Addington is launching an environmental assessment study examining possible redesigns for two major intersections in Napanee.
The Schedule “C” Municipal Class Environmental Assessment will review the current “couplet and offset” intersection near County Road 1 (Bridge Street), Alma Road and County Road 2 (Dundas Street East). The study will also examine potential improvements at the intersection of County Road 5 (Palace Road) and Dundas Street East.
Officials say the project will include updated traffic studies, reviews of possible design options, evaluations of alternative solutions and the preparation of an Environmental Study Report.
The assessment is being completed under Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act.
Public consultation will be part of the process, with two Public Information Centres planned for June 2026 and late fall 2026. Residents will be invited to review plans and provide feedback before the final report is completed.
