Students at Southview Public School are inviting the community to a carnival fundraiser as they work to replace a playground lost earlier this year.
The carnival will take place June 12 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the school.

Students said the fundraiser will help pay for a new playground, improvements to existing structures and outdoor learning spaces for children.
Organizers have also invited local EMS, firefighters, the OPP, military members and food trucks to participate. OBIE the CN Rail safety train is also expected to attend.
Students said community support will make a major difference for the school.
The event is open to families and residents across the community.
