The Makers at the Mill summer market is returning to the Babcock Mill this season with live music, family activities and dozens of local vendors.
Organizer Jennifer Collins said the market first launched with a one-day event in October 2024 before expanding into a full summer season in 2025. She said the response from both shoppers and vendors helped the event grow quickly.
The market runs Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while tours of the historic Babcock Mill will also be available during market hours.
The market averaged between 20 and 25 vendors each week during its first full season.
Collins said a new kids’ craft club has also been added this year. Children can take part in a different craft activity each week for $3, including decorating flowerpots and planting wildflowers.
Special monthly events are also planned throughout the season, including Disney sticker book trading in May, a Father’s Day event in June, and a pop culture market in July.
The season wraps up Oct. 18 with a Halloween-themed “Nightmare Before Christmas” event featuring trick-or-treating and a visit from Jack Skellington.
